Elsie Marie Honeycutt Banks, 73, of Van Lear, died Sunday, Jan. 18, at
Paul B. Hall Medical Center, Paintsville.
  
Born Nov. 2, 1935, in Johnson County, she was the daughter of the late
Elic and Neva Mae Music Honeycutt. She was a homemaker.
  
Survivors include her husband, Charles Banks of Van Lear; a son,
Fredrick Banks of Louisa; three daughters, Sandra Murphy of Louisa,
Velma Banks of Staffordsville, and Tina McKenzie of Meally; a brother,
Johnny Honeycutt of Wabash, Ind.; and five grandchildren.
  
Funeral services will be 11 a.m. today, Wednesday, Jan. 21, at Jones-
Preston Funeral Home Chapel, with Tommy Meade officiating.
  
Burial will be in Highland Memorial Park, Staffordsville, under
direction of Jones-Preston Funeral Home, Paintsville.
