Beatrice L. Blair, 85, of Paintsville, died Tuesday, Feb. 11, at her
residence.
  
Born Oct. 19, 1928, in Johnson County, she was the daughter of the late
Prince and Jane Hughes Hammond. She was a homemaker.
   
She was also preceded in death by her husband, Eugene Blair; a son, Roger
Lee Blair; a brother, Charles Hammond; and a sister, Dorothy Daniel.
  
Survivors include a daughter, Eugenia Sue VanHoose of Mt. Sterling; two
grandchildren; and three great-grandchildren.
  
Funeral services were Saturday, Feb. 15, at Jones-Preston Funeral Home
Chapel, with Richard Williams, Wendell Ison, and Buddy McKenzie
officiating.
  
Burial was in Highland Memorial Park, Staffordsville, under direction of
Jones-Preston Funeral Home, Paintsville.
