Dennis Blair, 87, of West Van Lear, died Saturday, June 7, at his
residence.
  
Born July 19, 1920, he was a son of the late Dennis Dee and Mary
Ellen Hensley Blair. He was a master construction plumber and a WW II
U.S. Army veteran.
  
Survivors include his wife, Iris Ward Blair of West Van Lear; two
sons, James D. Blair of Staffordsville, and Ronnie Dee Blair of
Paintsville; a brother, James Franklin Blair of Waverly, Ohio; a
sister, Linda Beeman of Crittenden; and two grandchildren.
  
Funeral services were Tuesday, June 10, at Thealka Freewill Baptist
Church, with Rev. Gary Blair officiating. Auxier DAV Chapter 18
conducted graveside funeral services.
  
Burial was in Highland Memorial Park, Staffordsville, under direction
of Paintsville Funeral Home, Paintsville.
