JAMES PAUL BLANTON
1942-1994
Funeral services were held Monday, January 24 for James Paul
Blanton, 51, who died Thursday, January 20 at Appalachian Regional
Hospital.
Mr. Blanton was born January 21, 1942, in Johnson County, the son
of Emma Jean VanHoose Blanton and the late Johnnie Blanton.
He was employed by Wayne Supply Company.
Surviving are his mother; his wife, Betty Ruth Mayfield Blanton;
one son, J. P. Blanton, II at home; one daughter, Renee Blanton
Hembree of Salyersville; two sisters, Betty VanHoose of
Catlettsburg and Johnna Murry of Meally, and one granddaughter.
Officiating at services at Paintsville Funeral Home Chapel were
Revs. Dick VanHoose and M. T. Womack, Jr.
Burial was in Highlands Memorial park at Staffordsville.
