HEATHER DIANE BROWN

Heather Diane Brown (July 24, 1978 — April 17, 2009) of Elizabeth, New
Jersey, passed away April 17, 2009, in Elizabeth.
    
She was formerly of West Van Lear, Ky.
  
She is the daughter of John and Diana Booth Brown of West Van Lear. She
is also survived by one brother, Robert (Amy) Brown of Dublin, Ohio. Also
surviving are two aunts, Carol Owens of Paintsville and Sandra
Wattenberger of Nicholasville, Ky; one uncle, Everett R. Booth of
Nashville, Tenn.; five great aunts and three great uncles; many cousins
and a multitude of friends.
  
She was preceded in death by her maternal grandparents, Everett (Cotton)
and Grace Elsa Booth; her paternal grandparents, Claude and Neva Evelyn
Brown; and one uncle, Carlie C. Brown.
  
Ms. Brown attended Paintsville Elementary and High School, graduating in
1996. She also attended Morehead State University, receiving a bachelors
degree in music in 2000.
  
She attended William Patterson University in New Jersey where she
received her masters degree in communications and media studies in 2004.
She was last employed by the Union County school system for the
superintendent’s office as public relations coordinator.
  
A Celebration of Life service was held at the Preston Funeral Home
Thursday, April 23, from 5 until 9 p.m. with services continuing Friday
morning, April 24 at 10 a.m., with burial at Highlands Memorial Park at
Staffordsville.
  
Celebration of Life services were conducted by friends and family.
  
Arrangements under the direction of the Preston Funeral Home,
Paintsville.
