Ray C. Bryant, 83, of Salyersville, died Saturday, Dec. 21, at King’s
Daughters Medical Center, Ashland.
  
Born Oct. 18, 1930, in Knox County, he was the son of the late Grover
Cleveland and Vestena Parton Bryant. He was a retired coal miner.
  
He was also preceded in death by three brothers, Clyde Bryant, Fred Bryant
and Murphy Bryant; and three sisters, Nell Hamblin, Hazel Price and Chesea
Tucker.
  
Survivors include his wife, Mae Brown Bryant; a son, Jody Ray Bryant of
Salyersville; a daughter, Tammy Taulbee of Salyersville; five
grandchildren; three step-grandchildren; and two step-great-grandchildren.
  
Funeral services were Saturday, Dec. 28, at Magoffin County Funeral Home
Chapel, with Eddie Dennison officiating.
  
Burial was in Highland Memorial Park, Staffordsville, under direction of
Magoffin County Funeral Home, Salyersville.
