Funeral services were held July 2 at 11 a.m. at the Jones- Preston
Funeral Home Chapel for Effie Gladys Castle, 96, of Paintsville, who
passed away June 28 at the Paul B. Hall Medical Center, Paintsville.
  
She was born July 25, 1912 in Lawrence County, daughter of the late
Hiriam and Amanda Daniels Dixon.
  
She was also preceded in death by her husband, Herbert Castle.
  
She is survived by one son, Bruce Castle, Knoxville, Tenn; four
grandchildren, eight great grandchildren and one great-great
grandchild.
  
Services were conducted by Wes Stedtefeld, with burial at Highland
Memorial Park, Staffordsville.
  
Arrangements under the direction of Jones-Preston Funeral Home.
