LUTHER CASTLE
1890-1962

Luther Castle, 72, better known as “Good Nature”, died at his home at
Southside at 10 a.m. Wednesday, December 5 after a month’s illness.

A veteran of World War I and former miner, he was a lifelong resident of
this county where he was born August 18, 1890, the son of the late James
C. and Lou Castle.

He is survived by his wife, Mrs. Ruth Cooper Castle; two sons, Eugene
Castle with the U. S. Army in California; Samuel Castle of this city; a
daughter, Mrs. Lorraine Wells of this city; one brother, Guy Castle of
this city; four sisters, Mrs. Samantha Spears, Thealka; Mrs. Cynthia
Salyers, Louisa; Mrs. Hazel Marble, Martin; Mrs. Virgie Trinkle.

Funeral services were conducted at the Thealka Freewill Baptist church
with Claude Preston and Don Fraley as officiating ministers.

Burial was in Highland Memorial Park.
