WILLIAM KARR CASTLE
1932-1970

Van Lear resident William Karr Castle, 37, died Monday, January 19 1970 in a
local hospital after a brief illness.

The son of Gertrude Bowling Castle and the late Marion Castle, he was
born in Johnson County on November 25, 1932.

Survivors, in addition to his mother, are five brothers, Fred Castle of
Colorado Springs, Col., Mason Castle of Kokomo, Ind., Marion, Jr., and
Dennis Castle of Wabash, Ind., and John E. Castle of Puyallup, Wash.;
and two sisters, Mrs. Gertrude Preston of Paintsville, and Mrs. Alice
Waterman of Poland Springs, Maine.

 [Three step-brothers, Walter Simpson
of Canton, Ohio, Clifford Simpson of Columbus, Ohio, and Charley
Simpson; and four step-sisters, Mrs. Ida Tackett and Mrs. Lyda Davis of
Paintsville, Mrs. Dixie Blevins of Offutt and Mrs. Sarah Ditty of Red
Jacket, W. Va.]

Funeral services were conducted on Thursday, January 22 in the Jones and
Preston Funeral Home with the Reverend Tommie Reynolds officiating.

Burial followed in the Highland Memorial Park at Staffordsville.

The Jones and Preston Funeral Home was in charge of the arrangements.
