ARMINTA ALICE CONLEY
1877-1965

Arminta Alice Conley, 87, of West Van Lear, died at 2:30 p.m.
Sunday, March 14, in a local hospital after a brief illness. She
was the widow of the late William Amos Conley, who died May 8,
1957.

Mrs. Conley was born October 19, 1877 in Johnson County, a
daughter of the late Andrew Jackson and Nancy Jane Fairchild
Rice. She had been a resident of West Van Lear for many years.

She was a member of the Cedar Grove United Baptist Church.

Surviving are two sons, John Conley and Victor Conley, both of
West Van Lear, six daughters, Miss Alta Conley, Mrs. Carlos Goble
and Mrs. Russel Akers, all of West Van Lear; Mrs. Luther McCloud,
Virgie, Ky., Mrs. Paul Young, Chicago, Ill., Mrs. Vertrice Howard,
Tucson, Ariz., also one sister, Mrs. Hargis Conley, Riceville;
nine grandchildren, eight great grandchildren and two great-great
grandchildren.

Funeral services were held at 1:30 p.m. today March 17, at the
Cedar Grove United Baptist Church by F. F. Rigsby and O. I.
Williams.

Burial was in the Paintsville-Richmond Cemetery.
