MORRIS CONLEY
1916-2005


Morris Conley, 89, died peacefully early Sunday afternoon, September 11,
2005 at Highlands Regional Medical Center, Prestonsburg, Kentucky. He was
the son of Luther and Mary Conley.

He is survived by two brothers, Woodford Conley of Lexington, Kentucky,
and Luther Conley Jr. of Van Lear, Kentucky, and one sister, Judy Conley
of Harold, Ky.

He was preceded in death by his sister, Gladys Green, and his brother,
Winford Conley.

Born March 26, 1916 in Magoffin County, Kentucky, Morris was a successful
businessman and the founder of Mountain Auto Parts Inc., with several
locations in Kentucky. He was also the distributor for the state of
Kentucky for E-Z-Go Golf Cars. He was a member of the United Methodist
Church for over 50 years.

He is survived by his loving wife of 66 years, Vivian Howard Conley. He is
also survived by one son, Charles “Chuck” and Rebecca Conley of Berea,
Kentucky, and one daughter, Karen Herald and Larry Herald of
Staffordsville, Kentucky. His grandchildren include Cary and Kim Conley,
Melanie and Dean Turner, Kristin and Todd Clark, Tim and Alka Herald, and
Betsy and Roger Varney. He has 11 great-grandchildren.

Visitation was held between 4 and 9 p.m. on Tuesday, September 13 at the
Paintsville Funeral Home, Paintsville, Kentucky. On Wednesday, September
14, visitation will be from 9 to 11 a.m. at the Paintsville First
Methodist Church prior to the funeral service at 11 a.m.

Burial will follow at the Highland Memorial Park at Staffordsville,
Kentucky.
