Lillian Penix Copley, 99, of Lexington, formerly of Paintsville, died
Thursday, Dec. 18, 2014 at Bluegrass Care and Rehab Center, Lexington.

Born Dec. 24, 1914, in Johnson County, she was the daughter of the late Paris
and Virginia Music Penix. She worked at Paintsville Country Club.

She was also preceded in death by three sons, William, James and Shade
Copley.

Survivors include four daughters, Geneva Coyle of Lexington, Effie Marie
Andrews of Naples, Fla., Mary Ball of Richmond and Tieann Blackburn of Veil,
Ariz.; a brother, Estill Copley of Florida; three sisters, Bessie Davison of
Hindman, Veneda Rains of Michigan and Bobbie Thompson of Florida; 22
grandchildren; 38 great-grandchildren; and six great-great-grandchildren.

Funeral services were Saturday, Dec. 20, at Jones-Preston Funeral Chapel,
with Ronnie Spriggs officiating.

Burial was in Highland Memorial Park, Staffordsville, under direction of
Jones-Preston Funeral Home, Paintsville.
