Jeff Owens, 81, of Paintsville, died Wednesday, Oct. 28, at J.J.
Jordan Geriatric Center, Louisa.
  
Born April 28, 1928, in Magoffin County, he was the son of the late
Willie and Grady Pennington Owens. He was a candy salesman.
  
He was also preceded in death by his first wife, Josephine Lemaster
Owens, in 1984; and two sisters.
  
Survivors include his wife, Geraldine Jenkins Owens of Paintsville;
two sons, Roger Owens of Oil Springs and Bobby Owens of Moultrie,
Ohio; a step-son, Edward Salyers of Thealka; a daughter, Joanna
Conley of Paintsville; three step-daughters, Tina Collins of
Paintsville, Tracy Sester of East Point and Amanda Bowen of
Staffordsville; a sister, Reba Jackson of Hillard, Ohio; 16
grandchildren; and six great-grandchildren.
  
Funeral services were Saturday, Oct. 31, at Jones-Preston Funeral
Home Chapel, with Joe Carroll, Jerry Scott, and Bryan Auxier
officiating.
  
Burial was in Highland Memorial Park, Staffordsville, under
direction of Jones-Preston Funeral Home, Paintsville.
