JOHNSON COUNTY

James A. Pack Jr., 89, of Lexington, formerly of Paintsville, died
Saturday, April 19, at Thompson-Hood Veterans Center.

Born May 24, 1924, at West Van Lear, he was the son of the late James Sr.,
and Bessie Meddings Pack. He was a heavy equipment operator and U.S. World
War II Marine veteran.

Survivors include two sons, Charles T. Pack of Colorado Springs, Colo.; and
James Pack of Lorraine, Ohio; two daughters, Kathy Lawson and Karen Pack,
both of Lexington; a sister, Lillian Arrowood of Independence; several
grandchildren, and great-grandchildren.

Funeral services were Tuesday, April 22, at Paintsville Funeral Home
Chapel, with Wayne Cornett officiating.

Burial was in Highland Memorial Park, Staffordsville, under direction of
Paintsville Funeral Home, Paintsville.
