MARGARET JANE PENIX
1941-2009

Margaret Jane (Walters) Penix, 68, of Paintsville, died Wednesday, April 15,
at her residence.

Born Jan. 14, 1941, in Johnson County, she was the daughter of the
late Charlie and Recie Cantrell Music Walters. She was an aide at
Venture Homes.

She was also preceded in death by her husband, Jim Jack Penix, in
1996; two daughters, Kathy Music and Lisa Penix; and three sisters,
Tiny Marshall, Shirley Fields and Gracie Ann Dunaway.

Survivors include two sons, Larry Joe Penix of Williamsport and Jim
"Tommy" Penix of London; a daughter, Debra Lynn Ratliff of Lexington;
two brothers, Joe Eddie Walters of Boons Camp and Richard Walters of
Marion, Ind.; six sisters, Margie Osborne, Betty Reed, Norajean
Moore, all of Wabash, Ind., Nancy Fairchild and Darlene Fairchild,
both of West Van Lear, and Elsie Lilly of Boons Camp; six
grandchildren; and four great-grandchildren.

Funeral services were Saturday, April 18, at Jones-Preston Funeral
Home Chapel, with Don Barnett and Bob Coppins officiating.

Burial was in Highland Memorial Park, Staffordsville, under direction
of Jones-Preston Funeral Home, Paintsville.
