NELL PENIX
1907-1965
Mrs. Nell Penix, 57, died at 4:40 a.m. February 11, in a local
hospital. She had been ill six months.
She was the daughter of the late Will Crothers and Evelyn Williams
Crothers Price, and was born June 1, 1907 at Grayson.
She had been a resident of West Van Lear 18 years and was
affiliated with the Church of Christ.
Surviving is her husband, W. H. Penix, whom she married on August
15, 1948.
Other survivors include step father, Clarence Price, West Van
Lear, two step daughters, Bonnita Pack, Ashland and Helen Bond
City; five brothers, Tommy Crothers, West Van Lear, Bob Crothers,
Santa Barbara, California, Billy and Danny Crothers, Jackson, Ohio
and Olive Justice, Covington.
Funeral services were held at 2:00 p.m. Saturday February 13 at
the Chapel of Preston Funeral Home, with the Rev. J.H. Short
officiating.
Burial was in the Highland Memorial Park Cemetery.
