WILLIAM HENRY PENIX
1890-1966
William Henry Penix, age 76, died on August 23 at the Paintsville
Clinic after a brief illness.
Funeral services were conducted on Thursday, August 25, at 2 p.m.
at the Preston Funeral Home Chapel with J.H. Short officiating.
Born on May 3,1890 at Greenup, Penix was a son of William Henry
and Minervea Meadows Penix.
He had been residing in Paintsville for the past 30 years, and was
a member of the Church of Christ.
He was also a retired employee of the C& O Railroad Company.
Survivors include two daughters, Mrs. Bonita Pack of Ashland and
Mrs. Helen Bond of Paintsville, and a brother John of Tulsa,
Oklahoma.
Burial was held in the Highland Memorial Park with the Preston
Funeral Home in charge of arrangements.
