James Earl “Jim” Pickle, 87, of Paintsville, died Monday,
April 14, at Mountain Manor of Paintsville.

Born Sept. 16, 1926, in Johnson County, he was the son of the late Jim
Pickle and Priscilla Blair. He was a U.S. Army Corp veteran, a member of
Mayo Memorial Methodist Church, Paintsville Masonic Lodge, Shriners and
Eastern Star, and was a Selective Service agent.

He was also preceded in death by his wife, Numia L. Bradley Pickle; a son,
James Eric Pickle; and two daughters, Lynda Kay Pickle and Sherry Lee
Martin.

Survivors include a daughter, Deloris “Dodie” Pickle of Paintsville.

Funeral services were Thursday, April 17, at Jones-Preston Funeral Chapel,
with John W. Hatton officiating. Military rites were by Auxier Chapter 18
DAV.

Burial was in Highland Memorial Park, Staffordsville, under direction
of Jones-Preston Funeral Home, Paintsville.
