DON PRESTON

1909-1970

Don Preston A retired barber from Van Lear, Don Preston suffered a
long illness and died on October 28. The former United Baptist was 61.

Glenn Arrowood, Florida Lyons and Earl Muncy were ministers at funeral
services held two days later in the Buffalo United Baptist Church.

The Preston Funeral Home arranged for interment in the Highland
Memorial Park.

Sam and Malta Short Preston, his parents, gave birth to him in Meally.

Survivors are his wife, Mary Wills Preston; three sons, Donald Preston
of Ypsilanti, Mich; Robert Preston of Pikeville, and Doug Preston of
Dayton, Ohio; a daughter in Ypsilanti, Margie Ann Williams; four
brothers, Irvin Preston of Lowmansville, Herbert Preston of
Huntington, W. Va., Lafe Preston of Xenia, Ohio, and Arthur Preston of
Huntington; three sisters, Mildred Trimble, Bunia Rowe and Ruie
Preston, all of Hunington. Four grandchildren also survive.

Van Lear's Masonic Lodge No. 858 F & AM conducted grave side rites and
acted as pallbearers.
