Paul Thomas Provence, 73, of Lexington, died Monday, June 30, at his
residence.

Born Aug. 15, 1934, in Martin County, he was a son of the late Mack
and Dixie McFaddin Provence. He was a Mason contractor, a member of
W.R. Castle Fire Department and Tom's Creek Freewill Baptist Church.

Survivors include his wife, Ruth Meek Provence of Lexington; a son,
Jerry Provence of Lexington; three daughters, Paula Provence of
Morehead, Tracey Ison of Baltimore, Ohio, and Jenny Ward of
Lexington; two sisters, Ruth Spirro of Seminole, Fla. and Doris Mills
of Canal Winchester, Ohio; and four grandchildren.

Funeral services were Wednesday, July 2, at Jones-Preston Funeral
Home Chapel, Paintsville, with James Kelly Caudill officiating.

Burial was in Highland Memorial Park, Staffordsville, under direction
of Jones-Preston Funeral Home.
