JOHN F. RATLIFF
1928-1995
Funeral services were held Thursday, January 5, for Rev. John Frank
Ratliff, 66, who died Monday, January 2 at his Staffordsville
residence.
Mr. Ratliff was born October 14, 1928, in Johnson County, the son of
the late Freddie and Pina McKenzie Ratliff.
He was a minister of the Freewill Baptist Church for 45 years, member
of the Staffordsville Freewill Baptist Church and Flat Gap Masonic
Lodge.
Surviving are his wife, Ethel Smith Ratliff; one son, Johnnie D.
Ratliff of Oil Springs; two daughters, Donna E. Lemaster and
Katherine Sue Ratliff, both of Staffordsville; two brothers, Ernie
and Paul Ratliff, both of Staffordsville; five sisters, Faye Williams
of Lowmansville and Mary Ratliff, Betty Carol Frisby, Doris Haney and
Shirley Blanton, all of Staffordsville; and five grandchildren.
Officiating at services at Jones-Preston Funeral Home Chapel were
Herbert Arms, Richard Williams and Larry Blair.
Burial was in Highland Memorial Park at Staffordsville.
