JEFF REED

Jeff Reed, former Johnson County resident and son of the late Asa and
Rebecca Reed, died Wednesday, June 30, in a Lorain, Ohio hospital at
the age of 80.
  
Born March 27, 1891, he was a World War I veteran, member of the Odd
Fellows, American Legion, the D.A.V. and a retired Paintsville Water
and Gas Company employee.  His wife, Elizabeth, preceded him in death
in 1965.
  
He is survived by one daughter Mrs. Etta M. Baldwin of Lorain, three
brothers and one sister, and two grandchildren.
  
Funeral services were conducted Friday, July 3, 1971, at the
Paintsville United Baptist Church with reverends O.I. Williams, Lonza
Reed, and Arnoild Reed officiating.
  
Burial followed in the Highland Memorial Park at Staffordsville with
gravesite rites being conducted by the Paintsville chapter of Odd
Fellows and the Paintsville Chapter of the D.A.V under Commander
Monterville Miles.
  
Arrangements were under the dirction of the Jones-Preston Funeral
Home.
