Leona Rice, 92, of Oil Springs, died Monday, Dec. 22, at Highlands Regional
Medical Clinic, Prestonsburg.
Born July 27, 1916, at Mashfork, she was the daughter of the late Miskimmins
and Teila Penix Miskimmins Litteral. She was a cosmetology instructor with
Mayo Vocational-Technical School of Paintsville.
Survivors include a son, Gary Stephen Rice of Oil Springs; and a sister,
Beatrice Long of Morehead.
Funeral services will be 2 p.m., today, Wednesday, Dec. 24, at Paintsville
Funeral Home, with Gary Rice and Lowell Robinson officiating.
Burial will be in Highland Memorial Park, Staffordsville, under direction of
Paintsville Funeral Home, Paintsville.
