RUBY SADLER
1929-1990

Ruby Ratliff Sadler, 60, died Friday, February 2, in Highlands
Regional Medical Center.

Mrs. Sadler was born March 5, 1929 in Johnson County, the daughter of
Earl and Ethel Taylor VanHoose. She was a member of Rockhouse Freewill
Baptist Church.

She was preceded in death by two husbands, Topsy Ratliff, in 1970, and
Victor Sadler, in 1979.

Surviving are six sons, Topsy and Clark both of Denver, Earl, of Hager
Hill, Hollie, of Flat Gap, Lawrence, of Tutor Key, and Andy, of
Blaine; six stepsons, Add and Bub Ratliff, both of Urbana, Ohio, Jay
Rattiff, of New York City, New York, Victor Sadler, of Lima, Ohio,
Mike Sadler, and Phillip Rattiff; four daughters, Martha Castle, of
Denver, Mary Pennmgton and Rut Ann Sadler, both of Van Lear, and Ollie
Southern, of Meally; six stepdaughters, Hallie Thacher, of Urbana,
Dixie Blair, Dicie VanHoose and Ella Ratliff, all of Denver, Pauline
Blevins, of Oil Springs, and Maline Sadler, of Columbus, Ohio; four
brothers, Lifis VanHoose, of Denver, and Virgil VanHoose, Harry
VanHoose and Jame VanHoose, all of Thealka; six sisters, Ella Mae
Ratliff of Denver, Virgie Kimbler of Paintsville, Nellie Lyons, of
Marion, Ohio, Betty Jeffery, of St. Albans, West Virginia, Maxiene
VanHoose, of Kenova, West Virginia, and Christine Clark, of Thealka;
and 17 grandchildren, 34 great- grandchildren.

FUneral services were held Monday, February 5, in Tom's Creek Freewill
Baptist Church, with James Kelly Caudill and Don Fraley officiating.

Burial was in Highland Memorial Park at Staffordsville, with Jones-
Preston Funeral Home in charge of arrangements.
