BENNIE JACK SALYER

Bennie Jack Salyer, age 90, died Saturday, November 26, at 1:15
a.m. at the Paintsville Hospital after an extended illness.

Born February 28, 1876, he was the son of the late Gardner and Lou
Ann Fairchild Salyer.

Salyer, who had been a farmer, was born in the county and had
lived at 54 State Street for several years.

His wife the former Laura McKenzie survives. Additional survivors
are four sons, Roy and Everett, both of Paintsville, Mitchell of
Chicago, Illinois, and Orville of Ypsilanti, Michigan; two
daughters, Mrs. Louise Bevins and Mrs. Elva Hamilton, both of
Paintsville, and two sisters, Mrs. Julia Cordell of Ashland and
Mrs. Flora Williams of Flat Gap. Eleven grandchildren and five
great grandchildren also survive.

Funeral services were held Monday, November 28, at 2 p.m. at the
Jones-Preston Funeral Home with Rev. Lawrence Rogers officiating.

Burial took place in the Highland Memorial Park at Staffordsville
with the Jones-Preston Funeral Home making all necessary
arrangements.
