WILLIAM DARWIN SLONE

William "Bill" Darwin Slone, 64, of Hager Hill, died Monday, April
20, at Cabell Huntington Hospital, Huntington, W.Va.
Born Aug. 5, 1944, he was the son of the late Dr. Agusutus D. and
Mary Malissa Wells Slone. He was a Medical Technologist, a U.S. Army
veteran, and a member of Paintsville Masonic Lodge 381 F. & A.M.
Survivors include his wife, Judith Marion Rice Slone of Hager Hill; a
daughter, Alicia Lee Souther of Hager Hill; a son, William Ryan Slone
of Calton, Ga.; a brother, James Seymour Slone of Atlanta, Ga.; and
two grandchildren.
Funeral services were Thursday, April 23, at Paintsville Funeral Home
Chapel, with Robert Coppings officiating. DAV Chapter 18 of Auxier
conducted graveside service.
Burial was in Highland Memorial Park, Staffordsville, under direction
of Paintsville Funeral Home, Paintsville.
