MARY ELIZABETH SPARKS
1903-1967
  
Mrs. Mary Elizabeth Sparks, 63, died on Thursday, August 31, at 7:50
a.m. at her home on Boyd St. after a brief illness.
  
She was born in Johnson County of October 30, 1903, the daughter of the
late Frank and Lillia Tackett Johnson.  She is a member of the Barnetts
Creek United Bapt Church and L.A. of B.R.T.
  
Survirors include her husband, J.O. Sparks, one daughter, Mrs. Dora Mae
Roberts, of Paintsville and three granchildren.  Also surviving is one
brother, Marlin Johnson of Staffordsville.
  
Funeral services were held on Sunday, September 3, 11:00 a.m. in the
Paintsville Untied Baptist Church with Sandy Phillips and Buell Ferguson
officiating.
  
Burial followed in the Highland Memorial Park under the direction of the
Jones-Preston Funeral Home.
