SHIRLEY W. SPEARS
1914-1966

Mr. Shirley W. Spears, age 52, died Friday October 21 at 3:30 p.m.
at a local hospital following a brief illness.

Born April 11, 1914 in Johnson County, he was the son of Bertha
Cumbo Spears who survives, and the late Martin Spears. He was a
resident of Willoughby, Ohio for 15 years and a member of the
Church of Christ.

Spears, who was a laborer, was married to the former Nola Moore,
who also survives. Surviving in addition to his mother and wife
are two sons, John L. of Chardon, Ohio and Donald L. on Mantua,
Ohio, a brother, Leon of Van Lear, and five sisters, Mrs. Janet
Webb of Cynthiana, Mrs. George Stoenburg of Paintsville, Mrs.
Hazel Goble of West Van Lear, Mrs. Ella Ferguson of Belleflower,
Calif., and Mrs. Myrtle Richmond of Van Lear. Four grandchildren
also survive.

Funeral Services were conducted Monday October 24 at 2 p.m. at the
West Van Lear Church of Christ with Rev. Charles Saunders
officiating.

Burial took place in the Highland Memorial Park at Staffordsville
under direction of the Jones-Preston Funeral Home.
