Juanita Yates Stapleton, 87, of Volga, died Sunday, April 5, at
King's Daughters Medical Center, Ashland.
Born Nov. 11, 1921, in Johnson County, she was the daughter of the
late Chat and Jewel Meade Yates.
She was preceded in death by her husband, Douglas Stapleton; a
brother, Howard Rusty Yates; and a sister, Georgia Weathee.
Survivors include four daughters, Donna Collins and Tama Ramey, both
of Stambaugh, Debbie Layne of Prestonsburg, and Teresa O'Bryan of
Wittensville; two sisters, Patricia Adkins of Catlettsburg and Alene
Bayes of Frankfort; nine grandchildren; and six great-grandchildren.
Funeral services were Tuesday, April 7, at Jones-Preston Funeral Home
Chapel, with Jerry Scott and Tim Salyers officiating.
Burial was in Highland Memorial Park Cemetery, Staffordsville, under
direction of Jones-Preston Funeral Home, Paintsville.
