LORRAINE STAPLETON
1916-2012
  
Funeral services were held Sunday, Sept. 23, 2 p.m. at the First Christian
Church in Paintsville, for Lorraine Stambaugh Stapleton, 96, who passed
away Wednesday, Sept. 19 at Highlands Regional Medical Center in
Prestonsburg.
  
Mrs. Stapleton was born Sept. 19, 1916 in Johnson County, daughter of the
late Cam Hagerman and Elizabeth Walters Stambaugh. She was a homemaker.
  
She was also preceded in death by her husband, Davis B. Stapleton; one
daughter, Jeanne Spurlock; one brother, Marshall Williamson; and one
sister, Vivian Branham.
  
Surviving are one brother, John Morgan “Pete” Stam-baugh of Ashland; and
son-in-law, Burl Wells Spurlock of Prestonsburg; one grandchild and three
great-grandchildren.
  
The service was officiated by Wesley Stedtefeld, with entombment at the
Highland Memorial Park Cemetery at Staffordsville.
  
Arrangements under the direction of the Jones-Preston Funeral Home of
Paintsville.
