Lyda Wallen Stapleton, 64, passed away July 20 in a Paintsville hospital
after suffering a brief illness.
  
The Tutor Key resident was born in Volga to the late Jeff and Louisa
Brown Ramey.
  
Immediate survivors include her husband, Ray Stapleton; a son in Tutor
Key, Monroe Wallen; a daughter in Warsaw, Ind., Mrs. Mary Cornett; three
sisters, Mrs. Ethel Lemaster of Springfield, Ohio, Mrs. Plura Crislip of
Milford Center, Ohio, and Mrs. Rena Fairchild of Richmondale, Ohio; one
brother, Irvin Ramey or Warsaw, Ind.; three grandchildren and one great
grandchild.
  
The Rev. Bruce Daniel conducted services on July 22 in the chapel of the
Paintsville Funeral Home, which supervised burial afterward in the
Highland Memoria Park at Staffordsville.
