ALICE JEANETTE STOKES

Alice Jeanette Stokes passed away on July 1 at the age of 23. The
Portsmouth, Va., resident died at a hospital near her home after
suffering an extended illness.
  
Services were held here in the Third Street Freewill Baptist Church by
Irvin Castle, Don Fraley and Alfred Frazier Jr.
    
Burial was on the same day, July 6, in the Church Cemetery at
Staffordsville, with the Jones-Preston Funeral Home in charge.
  
Mrs. Stokes was born in Johnson County to Guy and Betty Moore Dozier.
  
She is survived by her husband, Steve Stokes; one daughter, Jennifer
Ann; her parents, a brother, Guy A. Dozier, who is with the U.S. Navy in
Vietnam, and a sister from Staffordsville, Kathy Dozier.
