Goldie Osborne Adams, 87, of Paintsville, died Sunday, Dec. 6, at her
residence.
Born May 27, 1922, in Johnson County, she was the daughter of the late Walter
and Ethel Castle Osborne. She was a homemaker.
She was also preceded in death by her husband, Wallace J. Adams; two sisters;
and two brothers.
Survivors include five sons, Grant Wallace Adams of Hager Hill, William Clay
"Bill" Adams of Richmond, Jerry Bruce Adams of River, and Terry Lee Adams and
John Paul Adams, both of Paintsville; two daughters, Ethel Lou Castle of
Dayton, Ohio, and Dorothy Jo Osborne of Maryville, Tenn.; two brothers, Ruel
Osborne and Dave Osborne, both of Wittensville; a sister, Dorothy Rose of
Newport News, Va.; 18 grandchildren; and six great-grandchildren.
Funeral services were Wednesday, Dec. 9, at Jones-Preston Funeral Home
Chapel, with James Kelly Caudill officiating.
Burial was in Highland Memorial Park, Staffordsville, under direction of
Jones-Preston Funeral Home, Paintsville.
