LESTER ADAMS

Lester Adams, 78, died Thursday, November 13, in his home at Turner Branch
after a brief illness.
  
He was born February 2, 1897, in Johnson County, son of the late Hayden and
Nannie Adams. He was a resident of Turner Branch and was a retired
conservation officer, Division of Fish and Wildlife. He was a member of the
Freewill Baptist church and served as sheriff of Johnson County, 1942-1946.
  
Surviving are his wife, Marsha Fairchild Adams, two sons, Hondel of Covington
and Andy of Turner Branch; two daughters, Beulah Selvage of Denver and Evelyn
McClure of Wittensville; a brother, Charley of New Carlisle, OH; a sister,
Jane Conley of Columbus; four grandchildren and one great grandchild.
  
Funeral services were held Sunday, November 16 at the Tom’s Creek Freewill
Baptist church with Reverends James Kelly Caudill, C. C. Hall and Claude
Preston officiating.
 
Burial was in the Adams Family cemetery at Turner Branch with Jones-Preston
Funeral Home handling arrangements.
