Marshia Adams, 77, died Wednesday, October 13, in the Paintsville Hospital
after an extended illness.
 
She was born March 4, 1899 in Johnson County, the daughter of Joe and Lizzie
Estep Fairchild.
 
Mrs. Adams was a resident of Paintsville and a member of the Mouth of Rush
Freewill Baptist Church.
 
She was preceded in death by her husband, Lester Adams, on November 13, 1975.
Surviving are two sons, Hondel of Covington and Andy of Paintsville; two
daughters, Evelyn McClure of Wittensville and Beulah Selvage of Denver, a
brothers and sister, Lonnie Fairchild and Dorothy Pelphrey, both of
Staffordsville; four grandchildren and one great grandchild.
 
Funeral services were held Saturday, October 16, in the Mouth of Rush
Freewill Baptist Church with Reverends James K. Caudill, Norman Roberts, Jr.,
and C. C. Hall officiating.
 
Burial was in the family cemetery at Paintsville with Jones-Preston Funeral
Home handling arrangements.
