LUCINDA ARMS
1904-1978
Mrs. Lucinda Blair Arms, 73, of Paintsville died June 25 at Highlands
Regional Medical Center after an extended illness. A native of Magoffin
County, she was the daughter of the late Asa and Plina Phelps Blair.
She was a member of the Freewill Baptist Church.
Her husband, William S. Arms, preceded her in death in 1965.
Survivors include five sons, Paul E. Arms, Henry Arms and Harry F. Arms, all
of Geneva, NY, James A. Arms of Horsehead, NY, and Lloyd Arms of Pennsylvania
and three daughters, Martha Long and Mary Smith of Sitka and Linda Linthicum
of Pasadena, TX. A brother Arbie Blair, of Paintsville, also survives, as doe
37 grandchildren and 12 great grandchildren. Services were held at the Sitka
Freewill Baptist Church on Wednesday, June 28, with Rev. James Kelly Caudill
officiating.
Burial was in Highland Memorial Park. The Jones-Preston Funeral Home was in
charge of arrangements.
