Elmer Arnett, 85, of Salyersville, died Friday, Jan. 11, at Central Baptist
Hospital.
Born Oct. 29, 1927, in Magoffin County, he was the son of the late W.T. and
Della Fletcher Arnett. He was a retired postmaster, a member of the First
Baptist Church, and a U.S. World War II Army veteran.
He was also preceded in death by three brothers, Raymond Arnett, Woodrow
Arnett and Glen Arnett; and a sister, Lena Arnett.
Survivors include his wife, Faye Arnett; two daughters, Dr. Debra Brashear of
Columbia and Winnie Gardner of Salyersville; and four grandchildren.
Funeral services were Sunday, Jan. 13, at Salyersville First Baptist Church,
with Michael Hornback officiating.
Burial was in Highland Memorial Park, Staffordsville, under direction of
Magoffin County Funeral Home, Salyersville.
