Douglas L. Arrowood, 77, of Meally, died Tuesday, March 5, at Highlands
Regional Medical Center, Prestonsburg.
Born Sept. 20, 1935, in Johnson County, he was the son of the late Melvin
and Etta McKenzie Arrowood. He was a coal miner.
He was also preceded in death by three brothers, Harnsel Arrowood, Walter
Arrowood and Lawrence Arrowood.
Survivors include his wife, Dolly Webb Arrowood; two sons, Mike Arrowood of
Somerset, Ind., and Wayne Arrowood of Oil Springs; a sister, Mary Preston
of Grayson; a brother, Clarence Arrowood of Wurtland; four grandchildren;
and six great-grandchildren.
Funeral services were Friday, March 8, at Jones-Preston Funeral Home
Chapel, with Ronnie Spriggs officiating.
Burial was in Highland Memorial Park, Staffordsville, under direction of
Jones-Preston Funeral Home, Paintsville.
