GEORGE G. AUXIER JR
1917-1987
Manila resident, George G. Auxier, Jr., 70, died Tuesday, April 14 in
Central Baptist Hospital, Lexington.
Mr. Auxier was born December 10, 1917 in Johnson County, the son of G. G.
and Lula Salyer Auxier. He was a retired sales clerk from Salyers Store
in Paintsville and a member of Pigeon Enterprise Baptist Church.
Surviving are his wife, Nadine Lemaster Auxier; two brothers, Carson
Auxier of Salyersville, and Chester Auxier of Red Bush; five sisters,
Alka Stapleton, of Paintsville, Iva Joy Meade, Pauline Meek and Irene
Brittoo, all of Louisa and Ruth Hayes of Dayton, OH.
Funeral services were held Friday, April 17, in Pigeon Enterprise Baptist
Church at Oil Springs with Revs. Charles Stapleton and James Kelly
Caudill officiating.
Burial was in Highland Memorial Park at Staffordsville with Paintsville
Funeral Home in charge of arrangements.
