Funeral services were held Sunday, May 28, 2000 for Irene Daniel Auxier,
86, who died May 25, 2000, at Mountain Manor Nursing Home.
Mrs. Auxier was born October 24, 1913, in Lawrence County, to the late
Foster and Rachel Gibson Burton.
She was a member of Rockhouse Freewill Baptist Church and had worked in
housekeeping for the Paintsville Hospital.
She was also preceded in death by two husbands, Dennis Charles Daniel
and Samuel Auxier; and two daughters, Oraleene Primm and Kathleene
Daniel. Surviving are one son, Paul Burgess Daniel of Owensboro; two
daughters, Nancye D. Moore of Van Lear and Mary Sue Butcher of Tutor
Key; three brothers, James Foster and Herbert Burton, both of
Paintsville, and Lawrence Burton of Lexington; two sisters, Pauline
Daniels and Mary Rigsby, both of Paintsville; and eight grandchildren
and 12 great-grandchildren.
Officiating at services at Paintsville Funeral Home Chapel was Rev.
Richard Williams.
Burial was in Highland Memorial Park at Staffordsville.
Pallbearers were James Dennis Blair, James Paul Primm, Daniel Richard
Butcher, Kenneth Butcher, Bruce Phelps III, Mike Titloe, Thomas Daniels
and James Daniels.
