Harry C. Bailey, 81, of Lexington, died Monday, Dec. 14, at Central Baptist
Hospital, Lexington.
Born Jan. 25, 1928, in Magoffin County, he was the son of the late Sam J. and
Betty Cole Bailey. He was a retired insurance salesman for Woodmen of the
World.
He was also preceded in death by his wife, Lillian Delphia Blanton Bailey; a
brother, Arthur Bailey; and two sisters, Ressie Williams, and Tressie Push.
Survivors include two sons, Stephen Bailey of Lexington and Michael Bailey of
Bagdad; a daughter, Teresa Mayhan of McMimville, Ore.; two brothers, Jack
Bailey of Chicago, Ill., and Don Bailey of Salyersville; two sisters, Mary
Lee Minix of Greer, S.C., and Pansy Patrick of Florida; and five
grandchildren.
Funeral services were Friday, Dec. 18, at Magoffin County Funeral Home
Chapel, with Steve Williams officiating.
Burial was in Highland Memorial Cemetery, Staffordsville, under direction of
Magoffin County Funeral Home, Salyersville.
