Elder J.T. Bailey, 96, of Johnson County, died December 25 1996 at
St.Joseph Hospital, Lexington.
He was born June 12, 1900 in Johnson County, the son of Andy and Hannah
Katherine Skaggs Bailey.
He is preceded in death by both parents, Andy and Hannah Katherine
Skaggs Bailey, and wife, Erie M. Evans Bailey.
He is survived by three sons, James Bailey of Ashland; Lurray Bailey of
Crossville Tennessee; Lowell Bailey of Richmond; three daughters, Jewell
Lemaster of Marlon, Indiana; Willadean Skaggs of Catlettsburg, Genetta
Ison of Lexington; 17 grandchildren and 18 great-grandchildren.
Services were Sunday, December 29 at 11 a.m. at the United Baptist
Church, Paintsville with Elders Arville C. Murray, Jr., Roy Coffey,
Lowell Ferguson and C.J. Murray officiating.
Burial was in Highland Memorial Cemetery, at Staffordsville.
