GEORGE MICHAEL BAKER
1951-2003
JOHNSON COUNTY — George Michael Baker, 51, of Staffordsville, died
Monday, Feb. 17, 2003 at Highlands Regional Medical Center,
Prestonsburg.
Born April 5, 1951, in Johnson County, he was a son of the late
Charlie Ray and Nannie Borders Baker.
He was a heavy equipment operator.
He was preceded in death by a brother, James Ray Baker.
Survivors include his wife, Zondra Vanhoose Baker of Staffordsville;
two daughters, Stephanie Martin of Oil Springs, and Angie Parson of
East Point; two brothers, Bill Baker of Paintsville, and Bob Baker of
Offutt; a sister, Juanita Sturgill of Paintsville; and two
grandchildren.
Funeral services were Thursday, Feb. 20 at Jones-Preston Funeral
Chapel, Paintsville, with Revs. Larry Blair, J. R. Connelly, and Red
Vanhoose officiating.
Burial was in Highland Memorial Park Cemetery, Staffordsville, under
direction of Jones-Preston Funeral Home.
