LEONARD BARKER JR
1925-1982
Funeral services were held Friday, April 2, for Leonard Barker, Jr., 56. Mr.
Barker died March 30, in Taylor, MI. born December 31, 1925, in Perry County,
he was the son of Leonard and Chloie Elam Barker.
Surviving are his wife, Neva Selvage Barker, two sons, Timothy Barker and
James E. Lee, Van Lear; two daughters, Pamela Gretzner, Grand Rapids, MI, and
Melody Borghi, Farmington, MI; four sisters, Willa Mae Knight, Paintsville,
Madalene Stratton, Covington, Minnie Mayo, Louisville, and Geraldine Sumpter,
Whitesburg; and seven grandchildren.
Masonic services were held by Van Lear Masonic Lodge 885 on April 1 in the
funeral home. Lowell Webb and Harry Neil Frisby officiated at services in
Jones-Preston Funeral Home Chapel.
Burial followed in the Highland Memorial Park at Staffordsville.
