NEVA BARKER
1925-1994

Neva Barker, 68, of Paintsville, died Wednesday, June 1, 1994,
at her home. Mrs. Barker was born July 23, 1925, in Lawrence
County, a daughter of the late John Wesley and Vesta Evans
Sparks.

She was retired from South Central Bell Telephone Co. and a
member of First Baptist Church.

Surviving are her husband, Bill Barker; three daughters, Sandra
Mulkey of Columbus, Ohio, Pat Lyons of Lexington and Kathy
Branson of Kettering, Ohio; a brother, Delmar Sparks of
Westerville, Ohio; two sisters, Opal Barker of Morehead and
Marlene Wells of Wittensville; six grandchildren; and three
great-grandchildren. The funeral will be conducted at 11 a.m.
Friday at Paintsville Funeral Home by Drew Martin, Brownell
Skaggs, the Rev. Ellis Hamilton, and Dr. Charles Milan.

Burial will be in Highland Memorial Park in Staffordsville.

Friends may call from 6 to 9 p.m. today at the funeral home and
one hour before the service Friday at the church.

In lieu of flowers, contributions may be made to Hospice of Big
Sandy or American Cancer Society.
