Funeral services were held Sunday, August 22, for Neva Barker, 74, who
died Wednesday, August 18, 1999 at her Van Lear residence.
Mrs. Barker was born October 10, 1924, in Johnson County, to the late
Cal and Audrey Williams Selvage.
Surviving are two sons, James E. Lee and Timothy Barker, both of Van
Lear; two daughters, Melody Borghi of New Hudson, Michigan, and Pam
Gretzner of Rockford, Michigan; two sisters, Betty Moore and Juanita
Hunter, both of Van Lear; and eight grandchildren and six
greatgrandchildren.
Officiating at services at Van Lear Freewill Baptist Church was Paul
Wayne Browning.
Burial was in Highland Memorial Park at Staffordsville, with Phelps &
Son Funeral Home in charge of arrangements.
