VIRGINIA BAYES
Virginia Bayes Funeral services were held Thursday, November 4, 1993,
for Virginia “Virgie” Bayes, 79, who died Monday, November 1, 1993 at
Highlands Regional Medical Center.
Mrs. Bayes was born Thursday, January 8, 1914, in Johnson County, the
daughter of the late Harry and Betty Davis Blanton.
She was a member of Fishtrap United Baptist Church.
She was preceded in death by her husband, Ted Bayes.
Surviving are one son, Gerald Bayes of Staffordsville: three sisters,
Jewell Lang of Castlebury, Florida, Anna Corte of College Park, Maryland
and Marie Dutton of Tremont City, Ohio and one granddaughter and one
great- grandson.
Officiating at services at Preston Funeral Home Chapel was Edgar
VanHoose.
Burial was in Highland Memorial Park at Staffordsville.
