MINTIE BELL

Mrs. Mintie Bell, 75, died at her home Sunday May 23 1965, at 2:00 p.m.,
following an extended illness.
Born October 2 1889, she was the daughter of the late Valentine and
Diana McDowell VanHoose, and had been a resident of Van Lear several
years.
Mrs. Bell was affiliated with the Church of Christ. Mrs. Bell is
survived by her husband, Charlie Bell. Other survivors include three
daughters, Mrs. Press Jennings, Mrs. Clyde Crum, and Miss Goldie Bell,
Van Lear; one brother, B. VanHoose, East Lynn, W. Va.; seven
grandchildren, and eight great grandchildren.
Funeral services were conducted today at 10:00 a.m. in the West Van Lear
Church of Christ, with Rev. Cecil Sherman officiating.
