ANNA BEVINS
1898-1969
Funeral services were held today, Wednesday, September 3 for Anna Bevins, 71,
who died Sunday, August 31 in a local hospital after an extended illness.
The Reverend Leslie Rogers officiated at the services in the Mayo United
Methodist Church of which she was a member.
Burial was in Highland Memorial Park at Staffordsville. The Jones and Preston
Funeral Home was in charge of the arrangements.
The daughter of the late Wesley and Erie Thompson Jordon, she was born in
Johnson County on January 4, 1898. She was a resident of Paintsville at the
time of her death. Her husband, John R. Bevins, Sr., preceded her in death on
September 7/1959.
Survivors include two daughters, Mrs. D. A. Justice of Glendale, AZ, and Mrs.
C. H. Cole of Baytown, MO, and two sons, John R. Bevins, Jr., of Paintsville
and Donald R. Bevins of Fort Knox.
