MINNIE FRANCES BLAIR
1920-2007
Funeral services were held Monday, Oct. 8, noon, at the Jones-Preston
Funeral Home Chapel for Minnie Frances Salyer Blair, 87, of Springfield,
Ohio, formerly of Hager Hill, Ky., who passed away Thursday, Oct. 4.
Mrs. Blair was born Feb. 29, 1920 in Johnson County, Ky., daughter of the
late Ezra and Vernia Blevins Salyer.
She was also preceded in death by her husband, Wallace Blair.
Surviving are one son, James Wallace Blair of Tipp City, Ohio; two
daughters, Carol Upchurch of Springfield and Karen Swords of Columbus,
Ohio; one brother, Mitchell Salyer of Catlettsburg, Ky.; two sisters,
Hester Bayes of Hager Hill and Loretta VanHoose of Springfield; five
grandchildren and eight great-grandchildren; and three step-grandchildren
and three step-great-grandchildren.
The service was officiated by Richard Williams, with burial in the
Johnson County Memorial Cemetery at Staffordsville, Ky.
Arrangements under the direction of the Jones-Preston Funeral Home of
Paintsville, Ky.
